Anya Sarre on Affordable Beauty, Style and 2013 Fashion Trends

I’m sure you of the fashion world know Anya Sarre. She’s one of Hollywood’s most influential trendsetters. A nationally recognized celebrity stylist, Sarre is known for her impeccable eye and ability to tie any look together with the perfect accessory. Named “Best Television Fashion Stylist” for her appearances on Entertainment Tonight, The Insider and countless other media outlets.
So on one chilly night I opened up my email and what was in the inbox made my eyes burn, not literally. YOU can imagine my shock when I receive her email. She asked for an opportunity to guest post in my blog. Of course I was honored to have her guest post in my blog here. Below is the post she created.
I was never really one to shop online, but I think that for this new year I am going to try it more often. Many of my friends have told me to buy my jewelry from Stella & Dot. I had a look at their website the other day, and there are many pieces that I love! I will have to spend some of my Christmas money there for sure. One of my trendiest friends also recommended StyleMint for great casual shirts. I was surprised to learn that they were designed by Mary-Kate and Ashley. I love The Row and Elizabeth and James, and I can see similarities in the aesthetics of StyleMint. I am just not sure if I want to spend $30 on a tee shirt!
I am, however, willing to spend money on shoes from ShoeDazzle. This website is basically the same concept as StyleMint except the focus is on shoes. I love the styles that they pick for me, and I just bought a couple of pairs last week. I cannot wait for them to get in!
One online store that have proudly used for a little over a year now is Birchbox. They are so amazing because I get to try new beauty products each month with my subscription. I recommended it to all of my friends, and I think any girl who loves beauty products would die for a Birchbox subscription.
I usually buy my clothes from stores like Forever 21, H&M, and Zara. I love buying trendy items that are not too expensive. However, I do invest in the bones of my closet. For example, I love Paper Denim jeans and Celine bags. You can never go wrong with a classic Mulberry bag as well! I am trying to think outside my box when it comes to buying my accessories. I recently saw a bag I loved at Club Monaco that I may have to buy.
Lately, I have been pulling inspiration for new looks from Pinterest and Polyvore. I like copying cute outfits that I see posted from my favorite fashion bloggers. I also find really great projects that I can do on the weekend to add some extra pizzazz to my wardrobe. For example, I saw this great DIY project that made over old ankle boots into new glittering beauties! I cannot wait to turn some old boots into cute shoes again!
